Our Student Council – The Voice of Our Pupils
Our Student Council plays a very important and valued role in Scoil Naomh Mhuire. The council members represent the voice of the pupils, listening carefully to ideas, suggestions and concerns, and feeding these back to their classmates and school staff. This helps ensure that every pupil feels heard and included in school life. Throughout the year, the Student Council undertakes a wide range of responsibilities. They help to organise Friendship Group activities, creating opportunities for pupils to connect, play and feel supported. The council also organises fundraising events and shows great responsibility in managing the Re-turn money, which is then spent on projects and resources chosen by the pupils themselves. Being a member of the Student Council involves commitment, teamwork and leadership, and our representatives work hard all year round to make a positive difference in our school. They are truly an integral part of life in Scoil Naomh Mhuire, and we are very proud of the work they do.

The Student Council recently organised a gift collection for the residents of Hazel Hall Nursing Home in Clane, and it was a wonderful success. We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the families who so kindly donated gifts. Thanks to your generosity, we collected over 70 presents to deliver on the day.
A special word of thanks goes to our 5th and 6th class Student Council representatives, who helped carry the many bags of gifts to the nursing home. The presents were very warmly received and truly appreciated by the residents and staff of Hazel Hall. It was a lovely opportunity for our students to give back to the local community and spread some joy. Well done to everyone involved! |
